Under the Blue Shuttle project, UPTEC launched an innovation call to identify a digital and technological solution capable of addressing a national challenge proposed by Aquaponics Iberia: the development of an Integrated Intelligent Solid Waste Management System (SWIMS) to drive the digital and green transformation of waste and resource management in aquaponics.
NS2 won the competition to develop the selected technological solution, titled “Smart SWIMS: Driving the Digital and Green Transformation in Aquaponics Waste and Resource Management.”
The project aims to create a data-driven, automated system that improves sustainability, efficiency, and resource circularity in aquaponics operations.
